Sun, Sky and Water

You might be seeing a lot of sun, sky and water on my background. This is Queensland - sun, sky and water. Lots of it. That is why it is called the sunshine state. And this is like a candy land to me. I love the heat of the sun. It warms my soul. And the sound of the waves calms my mind. This is where i always find peace.

I made it this far?! (Pat’s myself on the back) i might make this whole blogging thing more frequent that i thought. Yep, once a month is already an achievement for me. I have so many excuses, most of them were valid. Says the mother in me. Anyway, i am digging this yellow on me. I have never been a fan of yellow. It is loud. Like “hey, look at me” loud. But now that i am wearing it, i don’t feel like it is what i thought it is. I say, it even compliments my skin tone. Don’t you agree?

Back from long hiatus

So i have been MIA for 2 years. I got pregnant by the end of January 2016. And my pregnancy was not a good one. I was in a bad shape. Fast forward, 10 months after, i gave birth to a beautiful baby girl. My second child, second daughter. Taking care of a newborn all by myself is a new experience for me. I got a nanny with my first. And may i say, the word “busy” is underrated. I haven’t had a proper sleep for a whole year! I was exhausted. Insert long rant here. But as all the mum says, it’s all worth it. I love my daughter, so much. So that is where my whole 2 years went. Being a full time mother. 

But here i am now, back on my game. Still not full time though. As i am still figuring out how to juggle my life, my priorities. Anyway, you will see me here every now and then. I hope that won’t mean once a year. So please bear with me.

Summer is officially here. And what a great way to welcome the sun, by wearing floral. Daisy print is becoming popular. I don't usually wear prints as it is very hard to match. So i choose the safest color, black amd white. This is supposed to be a shift dress, but i decided to put some colors by adding a belt. Also, i rarely wear wedge. I am more comfortable wearing heels. But this Zara wedge has some edge on it, its coloured sole that is.

Spring Floral in Shift

This shift dress from Asos is so comfortable, flowy and flirty! Just in time for spring, the daisy floral print is perfect. I paired it with my old floral wedge from Zara. I love how they matches together.

This peplum dress is last year's season. And yes, i do repeats. Besidez, peplum is still in for this year. Plus, this powder pink peplum dress is very classic and elegant. I have almost same dress from Topshop and will post them in few days, for comparison.

You will notice my growing love for RED. I always get a compliment whenever i wear one. You will also figure out that if i really like a specific type of clothe, i will buy it in different colours. This dress is the red version of this one.

Me and the Lonely Chair

When i like a dress so much, i buy them in 2 different colours. As seen here, this skater dress is a little but smaller than the Red one. But i think it fits me more. The weird thing is they are in exact same size. Since this dress is much shorter than the other, i did the same trick of putting on skirt underneath.

Red Top to Toe

The moment i saw this dress on the rack, i fell in love. Not inly that it is in my favourite colour, it is also a skater dress which ive been looking for a long time now. What i like in Zara is the materials they used. This one is thick but stretch, perfect for a skater dress. I like the pleats, it makes my waist looks thin. And that military look at the shoulder is classic! Since i find this dress a little short, i put on a skirt to give a little volume and length. And it works! Don't you think?
